Youth Market

We are so excited to announce this new event! Several youth participated in our Boutiques and as food vendors last year, so we decided to create an event JUST for them! Entrepreneurs ages 5-17 are welcome to participate. They can sell anything including handmade or store-bought items, food, games or services. This will be located along the pathway behind the splash pad and will run during Chalk the Walk. Registration is required to have a booth, but shopping is free to the public. Limited spots available. **PARTICIPATION INFORMATION**

  • REGISTRATION
  1. $20 per booth.
  2. It is one registration per booth, regardless of how many children are selling.
  3. No refunds will be given.
  4. Participants will be accepted based on how many openings are in each category. Acceptance emails will be sent on July 1st. Once accepted, you will be sent an email with a link to pay for your registration. All fees must be paid by August 1st or you forfeit your spot.

 

  • PRODUCTS
  1. Children can sell anything! It can be homemade or store-bought items, food, games or services. (All food prep, cooking and serving must be done by the child)
  2. Remember that participants will be accepted based on how many openings are in each category due to the limited number of spots we have, so get creative! (We will only be accepting so many cotton candy, lemonade, and snow cone booths.)
  3. Children may not sell goods on behalf of their parents.

 

  • CHECK-IN  
  1. Check-in will be from 3:00 – 4:00 prior to the Market.
  2. No vehicles will be allowed inside of the park to unload your items. (Wagons work great)
  3. Booths are assigned first come first served. If you have a friend that made it into the market, simply show up together.

 

  • BOOTHS
  1. All booths are a 10′ x 10′ space and everything must fit within that space.
  2. Children bring all their own supplies (table, canopy, chairs, change, etc).
  3. Canopies are recommended but not required, and must be weighted down (NO stakes). 
  4. Power is not provided. You may bring a generator that will be placed on the perimeter to minimize noise. (Bring an extension cord)
  5. If you have a generator please let us know at check-in.

 

  • SELLING
  1. The market’s main requirement is that the kids must do the selling! They are in charge of all aspects of their business.
  2. Parents may assist their children but are asked not to engage customers. 
  3. Please wear gloves if selling food.
  4. Bartering is NOT allowed.

 

  • WEATHER
  1. The market will happen rain or shine unless there’s an 80% or greater prediction of SEVERE weather. If canceled, there are no refunds.
